I would like to acknowledge that I am on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of the Treaty 7 region, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Stoney Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations), and the Tsuut'ina First Nation. I recognize the lasting impacts of colonization on the lives, ceremonies, language and teachings of First Nations, Métis and Inuit people of Canada. This acknowledgment is a gesture of reconciliation, recognizing the territory of the Indigenous Peoples where I live or visit.
